Online Income Ideas is a step-by-step (more or less) passive income streams guide and chronicle of what I am doing to achieve subsistence level economic self sufficiency & financial freedom for the nonprofit organization I am starting… Ecoculture Village.
Ecoculture Village is about self sufficiency, ecological sustainability, and ethical community practices… so with that in mind, insomuch as I can, I will conduct this site along the same lines. Let my progress serve as a guide!
Who am I? Hi, I’m Troy, and I have been living on… well, scraping by… is actually a much more honest way of putting it… less than ~$10,000 per year for over 25 years (all of my adult life), and I still am this very day… the day I start this blog. The year is 2011, and I really should write a book on how to live as frugally as I have… but that is not the purpose of this site. Unlike all those "internet money experts" with a fancy video showing those supposed screenshots of their Clickbank earnings of the many thousands of $$$ they have supposedly made over the last few months, weeks, days or minutes, my premise is simple… I am practically dirt poor, and I have been for a long time… but I have a goal… to work on Ecoculture Village projects.
Ecoculture Village is the only real reason Online Income Ideas exists, so, I think probably the best first advice that I can give about making money online is this… believe you can do it, and don’t give up! On the other hand, realize that there is going to be some hard work involved… and maybe even a lot of hard work… so don’t give in either. By "giving in" I mean falling for those "quick road to riches" schemes the "internet millionaire guru’s" would have you fall for and which I believe that, for most people, only lead to a net loss and maybe a refund if lucky. I believe there are exceptions to every rule, but most of those schemes are full of upsells of repackaged information that can be freely found elsewhere and in the end are a bogus waste of money.
Remember the ancient adage: If it looks too good to be true, it probably is! That said, while I do not have any control over the Google-ads (I’m thinking of taking them down for this reason… I have taken them down… I have put a few of them back up), all affiliate ads on this site are products and/or services I am using or have used… OR in the very least I am familiar with enough to say in all honesty… that I believe might be helpful, the success of which will largely be determined by the kind of person you are… in how determined you are to enjoy economic self sufficiency via passive internet income ideas.
BELIEVE YOU CAN DO IT… DON’T GIVE UP… DON’T GIVE IN!
This website will serve as a sort of journal where I share with you what I have learned about monetizing a website via passive income streams… both my mistakes and successes.
So, without further adieu… (or is it ado?), let’s start answering the question: Is it true that "money grows on trees"? Well… the best answer I have to that question is — follow along and we shall find out!
