So here’s just my 2 cents worth today. Race… that word is being used today in a way that is racism itself. The suffix “ism” means methodology, and “ist” means one who practices that methodology.

Understanding that experience exists to enhance perception of linkages between ecoequality and ecoamenity... and other stuff... but whatever it is, it is a good place to practice open-mindedness.
I found an interesting infographic (at the end of the article) which shows 30 ways to lose an argument. I do not agree with everything that the infographic shows as cause for losing an argument… and this is because I have a different way of looking at what an argument is… based on the standpoint of what purpose I feel argument itself serves in my experience in getting along with others.

If it wasn’t for the creative reuse of garbage, one of the most beloved characters in children’s literature would have been nothing more than a plateful of bacon. In the children’s book Charlotte’s Web when Wilbur’s life is in danger, his farmland companions employ every resource possible to save him from certain death. When things seemed at their darkest for Wilbur, his community got creative and took social action by presenting found text in a new way to assure his continued existence. Anthropomorphic upcycling made the simple country folk in E.B. White’s classic novel think differently and reimagine their value systems. The farmer Zuckerman didn’t know he was looking at garbage, he just knew that what he was seeing was convincing, and that is the power of upcycling.

Here are some thoughts from an unnamed author in the Information and Education Division of the US Army in 1945 entitled WHAT IS AMERICA? I did not write this, I lay no authorship claim to it… I just want to share it with you on this 2014 Independence Day weekend:

I originally intended this to be read only by those who consider themselves to be Christians, with the thinking that whoever does not, may as well not even read this…. but now… with the condition, unless you are interested in a more equal religiously free US, as this is a much farther ranging subject than just me, and I only merely scratch the surface of many important discussions in writing this…. but… I will continue as though I originally intended. Even so, I welcome all your comments.

This is a response I posted on a forum website in response to a topic by someone who does not believe in ghosts, but who is asking for ghost stories by way of the question, “Do you believe?” I believe; and here’s one of the reasons why:

Concerning witchcraft, where it is mentioned in the Old Testament that witches are evil, it is referring to what is correctly traced translationally back into the original language (Hebrew) as “a person who wishes harm on others”. The English translation of the Bible unassuredly and thus incorrectly included the word “witch” because of the medieval popular perception (which was perpetuated by the clergy and those close to the clergy) that individuals who had nature wisdom and herbal understanding were also believed to have “powers” to cause famine, illness, etc.

The Lumad people, the “people of the uplands”, live in the upper catchment of the Pulangi River, the largest river on the southern Philippine island of Mindanao. This region is called Bendum, and is the ancestral home of the Lumad. Because of mass deforestation, many upland peoples, whose ancestral way of life is integrated with the forest, have felt pressure to move to the lowlands to live in cities, especially the younger generations. The culture of the Lumad and the forest cannot be separated. Even though many have left the uplands for the modern world below, the Lumad will not abandon their culture, especially the sacred places in the forest, nor their traditions.

The Pyramid of Human Success is like any other pyramid, the foundation of which is of course its strength and very existence. The Pyramid of Human Success is a visual aid showing, according to the current paradigm or general worldview, the predictability of human actions as human populations rise. Ecosystem is inherent, it is the foundation of all that we are and do. As populations rise, the conditions humans impose upon themselves and each other, in their hurried inability to take each pyramidal step at a more caring and wise pace, become increasingly more likely to be uninherent (unnatural or incompatible with Ecosystem Earth).

We are all on a personal journey of social maturation and spiritual awareness. The fears, loneliness, and confusion inherent to each of us should be thought of as foundational so that we may have a fuller understanding of what it is in common that we all face… that which makes us human… individually and together. As we begin to realize that our greatest problems affect all of us and cannot therefore be solved alone… how we look to each other with common interest in problem solving (as a community) becomes our greatest challenge… we do so in one of two ways.
